This past week, I went to Bright Beginnings to document some Stone Ridge girls helping take care of children at day care. It was there and then that I realized that caring for children was tough work.
The Stone Ridge girls helped tremendously by not only taking care of the children in the classrooms, but also helping out by sweeping floors and cleaning up toys. One of the Stone Ridge girls even went on a field trip with the children to the library! I could tell that the children were delighted every time the Stone Ridge girls came into the classroom.One teacher informed me that the children looked forward to having the Stone Ridge girls come to play every other week.
Stone Ridge helpers read stories, play musical instruments, dance, and do everything they can to ensure that these children are having a “bright beginning”. I think these children are having a great experience at daycare, thanks to the effort from the Stone Ridge girls and faculty at the Bright Beginnings daycare center.
